- Bring any medications you are currently taking - in the labeled bottle from the pharmacy (do not bring samples). Do not refill any of your medications. Your medications will be held for you in the Health Center, and will be dispensed to you by our nursing staff.
- 1 weeks’ worth of comfortable clothing. For example: jacket, exercise clothing, 7 shirts, 7 underwear, 7 pairs of socks, 3 pairs jeans/pants, 1 pair pajamas, 1 sweatshirt, 1 raincoat, 1 pair slippers/flip-flops.
- Be prepared for any and all types of weather! Warm jacket, hat, gloves, shorts (knee length).
- We provide washers, dryers, detergent and fabric softener at no charge
- Personal care items: toothbrush, comb, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, deodorant, alcohol-free mouthwash, sunscreen.
- Comfortable shoes.
- Alarm clock or clock radio.
- Notify your friends and family of the phone numbers, and appropriate times to call you.
- Spending money $25 to $30.
- Optional-photos of loved ones and favorite pillow.
- Tobacco users should bring at least a week’s supply and disposable lighters. Tobacco is purchased once a week only.
- Please bring all insurance cards, including health, prescription, and dental, even if your insurance company does not provide a benefit for treatment at Harmony. Charges for detox medication and all prescriptions are not included in the cost of the program.
What not to bring: these items will be held until Discharge
- No over-the-counter medications, vitamins or herbal/dietary supplements. While at Harmony, you will be under the care of our Medical Director, an M.D. who is a licensed Addictionologist. The “less is more” approach will enable him to start with an accurate baseline of your health.
- No weapons of any kind.
- No cell phones, laptop computers, cameras, hand-held electronics, such as: iPod, walkman, mp3 player, blackberry, etc.
- No reading material, with the exception of a book of devotion; i.e., Bible or Koran
- No candy, soda, coffee or food of any kind - unopened, sealed gum is fine.
- No musical instruments, cds, cd players, cassettes, headphones - this is a peer driven program and clients need to interact versus isolating themselves.
- No bath salts, perfume, cologne, aftershave, nail polish, artificial nail and related nail products, butane or lighter fluid.
- No hairspray, aerosols, hand sanitizer or mouthwash containing alcohol. We maintain an alcohol-free environment.
- No camisoles or revealing clothing (i.e., short shorts, midriff tops). No clothing with foul language or substance related wording/logos (i.e., no Budweiser logos).
- No tobacco rolling papers (can be a trigger for marijuana users).
